  • Welcome to Chris Emeott Photography

This site is a bit under construction so pardon some of the "buttons" that may not be working. I'm working on it as I type. Stay tuned. In the meantime, please contact me 104,101,114,101ereh

Jessica and Nick were probably two of the most laid back people I’ve ever met. Their wedding day went so smooth. It was a real joy working with the two of them.

Oh, and her Dad married the two of them, how cool is that!?

Wow! It has been a long time since I’ve updated my blog. Its been a crazy conclusion to the 2010 wedding season and I have been working hard to get everyone their photos on time. So, in the next couple of weeks I am going to blog like crazy to try and get caught up. With the weather outside right now, its going to be depressing to see such nice weather in the next few blog posts. BUT, you will get to see some amazing photos.

I’m going to start out with my good friends Terra and Dave. I served in Iraq with Dave. I consider him a great friend. It always seemed like he had no fear of the heat in Iraq. We would find him sleeping in 100+ degree temperature with a jacket and blankets on. It is the strangest thing that I have ever seen. He and Terra actually just got back recently from his second and Terra first tour in Iraq. They are great people and I had a ton of fun capturing their wedding. They are such a fun couple and I can’t wait to hang out with them again soon.

I should note that Dave is absolutely addicted to Tabasco Sauce. Its the one thing that came in our M.R.E.’s that actually had taste.

The Root City Band absolutely rocked!

Well, since I seem to be keeping with the theme of engagement sessions on here. I am going to post another one! (I promise weddings are coming soon) It has been a crazy fall this year, so many sessions to capture during the time of year that the great state of Minnesota is absolutely beautiful in. Its a well known fact to photographers that there are two times of the day to capture the best light, right away in the morning, and once again about an hour before sunset. Usually my clients opt for the later just to make most of their schedules work. This one was a bit different. Cristin and Joe had me meet them at they’re reception venue, the Afton Alps Chalet. Except we met there in the morning, I loved it, since I had another session later that evening I was able to capture the best light on both ends of the day. Awesome. This is where they will be holding their reception. When I was younger, I used to snowboard here all the time, fast forward about 10 years and I’m shooting engagement sessions here! It was neat to see the hills not covered in snow. The three of us had a lot of fun exploring the area and getting some really great shots. Cristin and Joe were a lot of fun to work with, I loved the ideas that they came up with to make their session unique. It was fun watching them try to “walk” with ski’s on and no snow : ) Enjoy the photos and check back soon for my next blog post.
